About WLP chat
In one sentence: WLP chat is an invitation-only messenger for adult membership groups, where members join through a Room Passport and never share a phone number or email.
An organiser writes the room’s purpose, rules, retention and sponsor policy, then issues a Room Passport. Members read all of it before they decide. Accepting creates a name and a two-letter mark that exist in that room only. Home shows the organiser’s latest announcement and one labelled sponsor or House tile. WLP chat has no direct messages, no public directory and no contact upload.
WLP chat is in research. Build 0.1.0, released on 5 September 2026, runs on one device and sends nothing over a network. It does not encrypt messages; every security screen says “Prototype security: local demo, not audited E2EE”.
