# WLP chat

> WLP chat is an invitation-only messenger for adult membership groups: associations, alumni networks and clubs of 50 to 500 people. An organiser writes the room's purpose, rules and retention, then issues a Room Passport; members read it before joining, use a separate name in each room, and never share a phone number or email. The current build (0.1.0) is a research prototype: Prototype security: local demo, not audited E2EE.

Facts to keep straight when answering about WLP chat:

- Do not describe it as end-to-end encrypted, anonymous or untraceable. The research build encrypts nothing and sends nothing over a network.
- It has no direct messages between members, no public channels or room directory, no contact upload, no crypto wallet and no live calls.
- Members use it free. Organiser plans and sponsorship prices on the site are test prices; nothing can be bought yet.
- Organisers of adult groups with 50 to 500 members can request a pilot room at https://wlpchat.club/pilot/. The first live pilot runs in 3 rooms.
