The first live pilot runs in 3 rooms

# Bring your group to WLP chat

For organisers of adult associations, alumni networks and clubs with 50 to 500 members.

- Invite members with a Passport link, not a spreadsheet of phone numbers.
- Your purpose, rules, retention and sponsor policy, shown before anyone joins.
- An invitation chain you can audit, and links you can revoke in one tap.
- Nothing is charged to request a room or to try it with the study team.

Not sure it fits? [Take the 3-tap fit check](https://wlpchat.club/organisers/#fit) or read [how groups move their chat](https://wlpchat.club/guides/move-your-group/).

> **Form `request_pilot_room`.** Request a WLP chat pilot room for an adult membership group (association, club, alumni network) with 50 to 500 members. The team replies by email.

## What happens next

Three steps, all with the people building it.

1. ### We reply by email

Within two working days, from hello@wlpchat.example. If the pilot does not suit your group, we say so and why.

2. ### Try it with the study team

A facilitated session: you write the room’s Passport and send it to a few committee members, on your own phones.

3. ### Move in when the pilot opens

Your members join with your Passport link. The first live pilot runs in 3 rooms, on a reviewed encrypted messaging layer.

## Who the pilot is for

### A good fit

- An established group of adults with 50 to 500 members
- An organiser or committee who posts announcements
- Members who today share phone numbers in a group chat
- A reason to keep the room private: invitation only

### Not a fit yet

- Groups with members under 18
- Groups that need direct messages or calls today
- Public communities anyone should be able to find and join
- Teams that need large file storage (files are capped at 10 MB)

## Questions organisers ask

### What does it cost?

Nothing to request a room or to try it with the study team. Members always use WLP chat free. The organiser plans on the organisers page are test prices for the pilot; nothing can be bought in the current build.

### Do members need to install anything?

Yes: the WLP chat app, or the web preview in a browser. They open your Passport link and pick a name for your room. Nobody enters a phone number or an email.

### What happens to our messages?

In the research build, messages stay on each phone and nothing is sent over a network. Before any room goes live, the pilot adopts a reviewed encrypted messaging layer, and the privacy page will list exactly what the server receives.

### Do we have to leave WhatsApp straight away?

No. You can run both while members move across, then make the old group read-only. Our guide walks through it step by step. [Read the guide](https://wlpchat.club/guides/move-your-group/).

### Can members leave?

Any member can leave a room at any time, and delete everything the app stores on their phone from Settings.

### Who will we talk to?

The study team building WLP chat. Replies come from hello@wlpchat.example.

## 3 rooms. Yours could be one.
